Urban Art, Graffiti and Street Art (choose the label considered most appropriate) enjoy a new boom. Their reach in social media, the presence in advertising campaigns or the interest by local institutions to approach a younger audience, associating their cultural efforts with the not so much ago underground and street culture, have contributed to a large extent to their popularity.
The exhibition Valencia en Papel brings together 13 artists from the urban scene of Valencia whose work has transcended its limits and can be found on walls anywhere in the world. They have been invited by urban art festivals spread across the two hemispheres, their works are displayed in galleries, contemporary art fairs, and museums. The urban art and the graffiti of our city would not have the recognition and prestige that enjoys if these artists had not left their interventions in its streets.
Abel Iglesias, Antonio Tone, Ausias, Cesar Goce, Dafne Tree, Deih, Dulk, Emak, Juan2, Julieta Xlf, Lolo Fonico, Miedo12 and Pro176 take over the gallery walls this time, showing a selection of small format works, sketches, drawings and paintings on paper.
